Samsung Galaxy S9 Specifications Leaked Via Retail Box

With the tech world waiting for the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S9 at the Mobile World Congress(MWC), an online image has leaked an illegal retail box of the Samsung Galaxy S9 detailing some of the features of the upcoming flagship.

• It mentions AKG-turned stereo speakers and earphones 

The image which has surfaced on Reddit, details various key specifications of the Galaxy S9. It shows that the smartphone will come with a 5.8-inch  QHD+ Super AMOLED display rounded corners similar to the Galaxy S8. The box also stated a mega pixel 8-megapixel AF selfie camera, IP68 certified water and dust resistant build, Iris scanner, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage and a wireless charging support. The most noticeable mentioned on the box is the super speed tech that accompanies a dual-pixel 12 MP camera sensor. The new camera tech will enable the device to offer a 'Super-Slow-Mo' mode.

The box further specified that the Samsung Galaxy S9 will include stereo speakers tuned by AKG as well as AKG-tuned earphones. It has not been revealed yet whether the smartphone will come with two-firing speaker modules similar to the Pixel 2 XL or like the one in iPhone 7 or iPhone 8.

Notably, the box shown in the image resembles the one of the Galaxy S8 & S8+. And that simply means one can't comment on it's authentication.


The new flagship set to debut at MCW 2018 next month is a successor to the Samsung Galaxy S8, is expected to come in two variants Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samusng S9+. Some early has made claims that the Samsung Galaxy S9 family will come with an improved iris scanner and enhanced Infinity Display Panels.

Between the two, The Galaxy S9 is rumored to have a 6GB RAM and a 512GB of storage. The company is said to include a dual camera setup to the bigger variant in the new Galaxy S family that is also likely to come with the sported Super Speed technology.
